Subscription & Pro

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free covers everything you need day-to-day: manual and automatic transaction capture, AI categorization, accounts, budgets, and Google Drive backup — no time limit, no watered-down version. Pro unlocks the deeper tracking tools: Debts, Installments, Savings Goals, Recurring transactions, Subscriptions & Bills, Reports, Cash-flow Forecast, Financial Health score, and Split Bill. The in-app paywall (Settings → Your Plan) always shows the current, exact list.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Subscriptions are managed entirely through Google Play (Play Store app → Payments & subscriptions), the same as any other subscription on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals — you keep Pro until the current billing period ends, then the account returns to Free. Your data is never deleted when Pro ends.

What's Lifetime? Is it really one-time?

Yes — Lifetime is a single one-time payment that unlocks every Pro feature permanently, with no recurring charge afterward. It's billed once through Google Play, like any other in-app purchase, not a subscription.

How does "Restore Purchases" work?

If you reinstall Pitih or set it up on a new Android device, tap "Restore Purchases" on the paywall screen. It checks the Google Play purchase history for whichever Google account is signed in on that device, and re-activates Pro if it finds an active subscription or a past Lifetime purchase — no need to pay again.

What happens to my Pro subscription if I sign out of my Google account?

Signing out unlinks that Google account's Pro status from your device, so if Pro was active because of that account, it turns off. A purchase you made yourself is tied to the Play Store account on your device rather than to a signed-in email, so it reattaches automatically and you keep access — if it doesn't right away, tap "Restore Purchases" on the paywall screen.

I bought Pro on Android — can I use it on iPhone too?

Not automatically. Google Play and the Apple App Store are two completely separate billing systems that don't share purchase records with each other, so "Restore Purchases" on iOS can only see purchases made through the App Store, not Google Play. If you switch platforms, you'll need to subscribe again on the new one. This is a limitation of how app store billing works everywhere, not something specific to Pitih.

Will I be charged automatically when my plan renews?

Yes, for Monthly and Yearly plans — that's standard auto-renewing subscription behavior via Google Play, and you'll be notified by Google before each renewal per Play Store policy. Lifetime has no renewal at all since it's a one-time purchase.

Automatic Capture

Does automatic capture work on iPhone?

No — this is an Android-only capability. iOS does not allow any app to read notifications posted by other apps, for privacy reasons, so there's no way to build this feature on iPhone. On iOS you'd add transactions manually or by scanning a receipt, and AI categorization still works for those.

Which banks and e-wallets are supported?

Pitih recognizes notifications from a curated list of Malaysian banks and e-wallets. You can see the current list in-app under Settings → Auto Capture → Supported apps.

My bank or country isn't in the Supported apps list — what can I do?

The Supported apps screen (Settings → Auto Capture → Supported apps) isn't limited to your own country — tap "Change" to browse any country's list. If nothing shows up, or your specific bank or e-wallet is missing, tap "Request support" to send us a quick request (you can list more than one app at once) so we can look into adding it.

Is my notification data safe?

Yes. Notifications are read and processed entirely on your device — Pitih's servers never see your bank notifications. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

What does the "Auto-capture isn't connected" alert on my Dashboard mean?

Android occasionally drops the background connection Pitih needs to read notifications — a known OS quirk, not a sign anything's wrong with your account. Pitih now detects this and reconnects on its own in the background, so most drops are fixed without you doing anything. The alert only appears when those automatic attempts haven't worked. If you see it, tap it, or go to Settings → Auto Capture → Permissions, and tap "Reconnect" to try the stronger fix. Your notification permission itself stays granted throughout — only the connection needs repairing.

AI Categorization

What data does AI categorization see?

Only the merchant name (e.g. "Starbucks") is sent to suggest a category — never the amount, account, or full notification text. It's optional and can be turned off anytime in AI Settings. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Why does a new transaction sometimes show up without a category?

If it's from a merchant Pitih hasn't seen before, it's categorized the next time you open the app instead of instantly — this keeps automatic capture fast even while your phone is idle with the screen off, since assigning a brand-new category needs an AI call that can't reliably run in the background. Merchants Pitih already knows from your past transactions are still categorized immediately, no waiting.

Updates

Why did I get a notification about a Pitih update?

Pitih periodically checks the Play Store for a newer version in the background, even if you haven't opened the app in a while, so you find out as soon as an update is ready instead of only the next time you happen to open Pitih. Tapping the notification just opens the app — nothing installs automatically, and the check only looks at your device's own Play Store install status.

Your Data

Where is my data stored?

On your device only, in a local database. Pitih has no server that stores your financial records — nothing is uploaded unless you turn on Google Drive Backup yourself.

How do I delete everything?

Uninstalling Pitih deletes all local data immediately, since there's no copy on any server to remove. Full steps, including how to disconnect Drive backup, are in the Privacy Policy.
